Notice about Retro Cable statue
Hey gang,
We're just giving you a heads up regarding the Retro Cable pieces that are about to ship.
As you know, the sculpture is depicting Cable marching over a destroyed and burned-out Sentinel head and battlefield.
Cable is supposed to look as if he's just been through a major fight. The base should appear as burned and damaged (as in the designation: battle damaged).
The factory attempted to achieve this look of destruction by actually using a heat gun to make areas look melted, etc. In addition, they used black airbrush painting techniques in some areas to make it appear burned with smoke damage. Like carbon build-up after a fire.
Please note that this look is intentional. No two of these pieces are the same! The pieces looked great to me, but some may view this as paint errors. Keep in mind these are all done by hand; not mass-produced like action figures.
We're in the process of opening all 250 of these, and hand correcting anything that might be perceived as looking “off”. This has caused a delay in getting these out to you. We figured we'd rather deal with this now, than have anyone panic after the pieces are received.
If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us so we may assist you in returning it for a full refund.
